About the estate
The Schmid winery is based at the Wolfshuberhof in Pillichsdorf in the Weinviertel region and has been cultivating wine there since 1661. The focus of the estate is on producing wines from the Grüner Veltliner grape variety, including the Weinviertel DAC denomination. The grapes grow on loess soils and are crafted with the intention of reflecting the character of both nature and the winemaker. The portfolio includes limited reserve wines as well as organically produced heritage wines. Distribution takes place through gastronomic establishments and niche wine stores, as well as via a proprietary farmers shop in Vienna.
The eno directory lists 2 wines, mostly from Grüner Veltliner. The estate sells to horeca and retail.
