About the estate
The Schloss Englar estate in Eppan an der Weinstraße traces its origins back to the year 1111 and has been inhabited by the Khuen-Belasi family for centuries. The winery comprises ten hectares of vineyards situated at an altitude between 450 and 550 meters above sea level. The gently east- and south-facing sites feature limestone gravel and weathered porphyry soils, which, combined with strong daily temperature fluctuations, provide ideal conditions for viticulture. The wines are produced under the Alto Adige DOC denomination.
