About the estate
The Styrian Schirnhofer estate is located in the rolling hills along the Roman Wine Road and is run by Johannes, Margarethe, and their son Markus in family tradition. The business builds on a long history that originally began with agriculture and a small inn. The portfolio includes various white and red wines such as Welschriesling, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Muskateller, Pinot Gris, and Blauer Zweigelt. In the wine cellar, methods such as reductive aging, steel tank fermentation, and oak barrel aging are applied. In addition to winemaking, the family runs a traditional tavern with regional food as well as holiday apartments.
