About the estate
The Sandro Fay winery was founded in 1973 by Sandro Fay and has been run together with his children Marco and Elena since 1998. Located in Lombardy, the estate manages a vineyard area of approximately 15 hectares, with production heavily concentrated in the Valgella subzone. Cultivation focuses on the indigenous grape variety Nebbiolo, locally known as Chiavennasca. The wines are produced on sandy and silty soils in steep mountain vineyards situated between 350 and 900 meters above sea level. The portfolio includes wines from the Rosso di Valtellina DOC, Valtellina Superiore DOCG, and Sforzato di Valtellina DOCG denominations.
The eno directory lists 9 wines, mostly from Nebbiolo and Chardonnay. The estate sells to distributors.
