About the estate
The Ruffo Della Scaletta estate in southern Umbria looks back on a long history that began in the nineteenth century and is now managed by the sixth family generation. Out of a total land area of 650 hectares, thirty hectares of vineyards are planted on hilly slopes between the municipalities of Calvi and Otricoli. The Pliocene-origin soils at altitudes between 200 and 250 meters provide ideal conditions for cultivating traditional grape varieties including Grechetto, Malvasia, Vermentino, Sangiovese, and Ciliegiolo. The agricultural enterprise operates according to integrated, certified methods, successfully combining historical roots with contemporary techniques.
