About the estate
The Rings estate in Freinsheim in the Palatinate was founded in 2001 by Steffen Rings, who restructured his parents' mixed agricultural business. Since 2008, Steffen and Andi Rings have jointly managed the family-run winery, with Steffen overseeing the vineyards and Andi in charge of the cellar. Cultivating 40 hectares of vines, they farm sites such as Saumagen, Weilberg, and Felsenberg, which are known for Riesling and Pinot Noir, among other varieties. The winery practices organic viticulture, relies on manual harvesting, spontaneous fermentation, and aging in wooden barrels. In 2018, the new winery building featuring an underground cellar and a press house was completed directly in the vineyards.
The eno directory lists 26 wines, mostly from Riesling and Pinot Noir.
