About the estate
The Adega Solar da Pena estate has its origins in Portuguese history, with roots dating back to the Roman occupation. Founded after the Battle of Salado, the property was once home to notable figures of medieval Portuguese cavalry. Today, the project is led by businessman José Correia, who has revived the traditional wine brand and produces wines within the Vinho Verde DOC denomination. The portfolio includes the white wine How About, made from Loureiro and Avesso grapes, featuring green apple and lime profiles. Winemaking here reflects the deep-rooted cultural history and generations of heritage tied to the location near the Cávado River.
