About the estate
The Pivnica u Sľúkov estate is located in Čajkov on the southern slopes of the Štiavnické vrchy mountains beneath the Sitno volcano. The family has been closely linked with winemaking for several generations and has substantially influenced local wine production. After completing his studies in Modra and Brno, Marek Uhnák took over the traditional family lineage and now focuses on a respectful approach to nature. The work centers on the Pesecká leánka variety, which thrives on the volcanic tuff soils of the region. Refraining from artificial additives and forcible procedures aims to preserve the unique character of the local terroir and its volcanic origin.
