About the estate

The Klaus Nittnaus winery in Gols near Lake Neusiedl is a traditional family-run estate that has been involved in agriculture for over five generations and has focused on wine production since the 1980s. Covering a vineyard area of approximately nine hectares, 40 percent of the vines are dedicated to white and 50 percent to red wine varieties, while ten percent are used to produce Prädikatswein. The estate places great emphasis on manual labor, with vineyard management and grape harvesting carried out largely by hand. To ensure quality, the winemaker family relies on natural measures such as pheromone traps for pest control and targeted cover cropping for natural soil maintenance.
