About the estate

The Monfaucon Castle estate is an independent organic producer located in the Bordeaux region in Entre-Deux-Mers, situated south of Saint-Émilion along the banks of the Dordogne river. Led by owner and winemaker Dawn Jones-Cooper, the entire property follows strict organic and biodynamic farming principles. The vineyards are cultivated without artificial chemicals by growing cover crops of flowers and herbs, while also utilizing astrological calendars and lunar cycles. Hand-picked grape varieties include Muscadelle, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Chardonnay. Vinification is carried out within the estate using wild yeasts to produce lighter, vegan-friendly wines.

The eno directory lists one wine. Export markets include Austria, Belgium, Germany and Greece.
