About the estate
The Max Thurner - Perlhof estate spans four different sites on the steep southern slopes of Bolzano in South Tyrol. First documented in 1545, the property changed hands several times over the centuries before eventually coming under the ownership of Martin Thurner. The old vines grow on quartz porphyry skeletal soils, benefiting from the warm winds of the basin and cool currents from the Isarco Valley. Production includes a Lagrein wine, which is marketed under the Alto Adige DOC and Mitterberg IGT designations.
