About the estate

The history of the Marques del Atrio estate began in 1899 when Olegario Rivero founded a small underground winery in the center of Arnedo. Today, the fifth generation of the family manages the project, which has evolved from its origins in Rioja into a wine group with a presence across several Spanish designations of origin. Winemaking combines traditional craftsmanship with ongoing expansion into regions such as Navarra, Rías Baixas, Bierzo, Ribera del Duero, and Rueda. The wines are aged using French oak barrels, with the Graciano variety playing a key role alongside traditional grapes like Tempranillo. Currently, the winery maintains an international commercial network and distributes its wines to numerous countries worldwide.
