About the estate
The Marques de Vargad estate looks back on a long family history that began in 1840 with the first plantings at the Hacienda Pradolagar. Today, the winery cultivates a total of 162 hectares of vineyards across the Rioja DOCa, Rías Baixas DO, and Ribera del Duero DO wine regions. Inspired by the philosophy of French châteaux, the estate relies on sustainable vineyard management and selective hand harvesting. Vinification is carried out separately by plot in modern facilities to optimally highlight the individual characteristics of each terroir and grape variety.
