About the estate
The Marcel Hugg, Vins d'Alsace estate is located in the medieval town of Bergheim along the Wine Road. The traditional family cultivates more than ten hectares of vineyards in privileged sites such as the Altenberg de Bergheim Grand Cru, Goldesch, and Rotenberg. The portfolio features the grape varieties Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Muscat d'Alsace, Sylvaner, and Pinot Noir, which also yield Vendanges Tardives and Sélection de Grains Nobles. During vinification, the winery combines traditional aging methods with modern cellar techniques such as pneumatic presses and computer-controlled fermentation.
