About the estate
The Lo Sparviere estate is based in a historic sixteenth-century country residence in Monticelli Brusati in Lombardy and is led by Monique Poncelet Gussalli Beretta. The vineyards cover thirty hectares across the municipalities of Monticelli Brusati and Provaglio d'Iseo near the foothills of the Alps and have been organically farmed since 2013. The area features native calcareous marl soils, which impart structure and flavor to the estate's Franciacorta wines. The cultivated grape varieties include Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, managed through Guyot, Cordon, and Sylvoz training systems. The production focuses on Franciacorta DOCG wines.
