About the estate
The Les Hauts de Talmont estate was founded in 2001 on the initiative of Michel Guillard on the cliff of Le Caillaud overlooking the Talmont peninsula. The vineyard now covers 11.5 hectares with clay-limestone soils influenced by an oceanic climate. The main grape varieties cultivated are Colombard for white wines and Merlot for red and rosé wines. The winery consistently follows biodynamic principles and relies on artisanal winemaking with manual harvesting and careful aging. The resulting wines authentically express the character of this Charentais terroir.
The eno directory lists 5 wines, mostly from Merlot and Colombard. The estate sells to horeca.
