About the estate

The Lehner Alfred estate is located in Velm-Götzendorf in the Weinviertel region and is run as a family business. The vineyards include both old sites and newly planted plots, with about ninety percent of the vineyard area dedicated to white grape varieties. The main focus is on Grüner Veltliner as the flagship variety of the Weinviertel, complemented by varieties such as Welschriesling, Chardonnay, Malvasier, Gelber Muskateller, and Traminer. Red wines such as Merlot and Zweigelt are also cultivated and vinified either varietally or as a cuvée. The business philosophy aims at producing fresh, fruity, and approachable wines that represent the region of origin.
