About the estate

The El Lagar de Moha estate was founded in 2018 by Ángeles Ortega and Alberto Moro in Rueda. The vineyards are located in the municipal areas of Rueda and Nava del Rey and are cultivated using organic and biodynamic methods. The winery is the first and only certified biodynamic producer in the D.O. Rueda. The grape variety portfolio includes Verdejo, Sauvignon Blanc, and Godello. Vinification takes place in a restored 18th-century historic building using various vessels such as concrete, stainless steel, clay eggs, and oak barrels.

The eno directory lists 5 wines, mostly from Verdejo and Godello. The estate sells to importers. Export markets include Austria, Belgium, Germany and Netherlands.
