About the estate
The La Collina winery in Castello di Serravalle looks back on a history of over sixty years that began when Giorgio acquired the estate in the hills of Bologna. Today, the small family-run business is managed across generations by Lorena alongside her husband Giorgio and their children Luca and Marco. On steep vineyards featuring soil rich in silt, limestone, and silicon, the estate cultivates grape varieties such as Pignoletto and Barbera while completely phasing out synthetic chemical substances. The production ranges from frizzante wines to bottle-fermented sparkling wines, with a donkey chosen as the logo to honor the local history of the region.
