The La Chevallerie estate has been managed for five generations and looks back on a winemaking tradition spanning about eighteen centuries in Saint-Nicolas de Bourgueil. The vineyards are characterized by sandy and gravelly soils where the Cabernet Franc grape variety is cultivated as single-varietal wines. For vinification, the winery relies on gentle gravity-fed grape processing in a semi-underground cellar without the use of pumps. The resulting portfolio features round and elegant red wines from the Loire Valley that prioritize fruit and finesse.
