About the estate
The Kellerei Kurtatsch winery was founded in 1900 and is one of the oldest wine cooperatives in the region. Around 190 families cultivate 190 hectares of vineyards featuring steep slopes at altitudes ranging from 220 to 900 meters above sea level. The lower sites provide ideal conditions for red wines such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Pinot Noir, whereas the cooler higher elevations are predestined for fresh white wines. The estate places great emphasis on sustainable and close-to-nature methods in both the vineyard and the cellar. The portfolio comprises site-specific terroir wines with an alpine character.
