About the estate

The Kästenburg estate has been enthroned on a hill in Ratsch an der Weinstraße in South Styria since 1638. Since 1903, the historic property has been owned by the Jakopé family, who established one of the region's first traditional wine taverns and played a key role in the creation of the South Styrian Wine Road. Today, the winery and its in-house sparkling wine cellar combine traditional winemaking with a tavern, winery rooms, and event spaces. Elegant wines and award-winning sparkling wines mature under optimal conditions in the old cellars. The offering is complemented by regional specialties from their own kitchen as well as venues for seminars and celebrations.
