Karl Schaefer

About the estate

Founded in 1843, the Karl Schaefer estate experienced its initial heyday under its later namesake and is located in Bad Dürkheim in the Palatinate region. Today, the winery is managed in the family generation by Patrick Räch, his brother Stephan Räch, and Martin Klein. The estate has been among the top Riesling producers from the very beginning and has been a member of the Association of Prädikat Wine Estates for over 100 years. Farming is carried out strictly organically to capture the uniqueness of the vineyard sites in the bottle.
