About the estate
The Kaltenbrunner estate is a family-run winery located in Gneixendorf in the heart of the Kremstal region, where the family has been cultivating wine for eight generations. The management of 14 hectares of vineyards around Krems relies on soils composed of loess, clay, sand, and gravel, alongside a climate shaped by Pannonian and cooler influences. Regina and Johann took over the farm in 1980, transforming the former mixed agriculture into a dedicated wine estate that is now continued by the next generation, Johann Junior and Hanin. Alongside the main variety Grüner Veltliner, the portfolio includes various white and red wines that are vinified varietally and in harmony with nature.
The eno directory lists 15 wines, mostly from Zweigelt and Grüner Veltliner.
