About the estate

The Kahrer estate is located in Zellerndorf in the Weinviertel region and has its roots in a cooperage founded in 1904. The traditional family business is run by the Kahrer family, whose historic wooden barrel cellar is among the finest in the Retz land. The vineyards are largely cultivated by hand, with a strong focus on environmental protection and the use of solar power. The portfolio includes various white wines, red wines, frizzante, and grape juice, featuring regional specialties under the Weinviertel DAC denomination. In addition to winemaking, the property also offers guest rooms situated in a quiet courtyard.

The eno directory lists 18 wines, mostly from Grüner Veltliner and Gelber Muskateller. The estate sells to retail. Export markets include Germany.
