About the estate
According to historical documents, the winemaking tradition of the Jörg Hammen estate dates back to 1530. Located in Rheinhessen, the winery is managed by the Hammen family in the twelfth and thirteenth generations. Winemakers Jörg and Michael Hammen cultivate their own vineyards with a variety of more than twenty traditional and modern grape varieties, including Riesling, Pinot Noir, Auxerrois, Sauvignon Blanc, and Merlot. In the cellar, healthy and fully ripe grapes undergo gentle processing to produce distinctive, harmonious wines and barrel-aged wines that reflect the regional climate and terroir.
