About the estate
The Daniel Jaunegg winery is a family-run estate in South Styria that has existed since 1975 and is managed in the second generation. The estate cultivates five hectares of vineyards at Eichberg at an altitude of 550 meters using biodynamic methods. The cool climate and soils consisting of gravel, sand, and weathered rock shape the terroir of the basin-shaped vineyards surrounded by forests. In the cellar, vinification is carried out gently and naturally through spontaneous fermentation and extended lees aging. The wines typically mature for two to three winters to develop their complexity and longevity.
