About the estate

The Hugl-Wimmer family estate, located in Poysdorf in the Weinviertel region, has deep roots in viticulture spanning multiple generations and cultivates 8 hectares of vineyards. Originating from parental wine-growing businesses, the producers continue the family tradition under a shared hyphenated name. The primary focus is placed on Grüner Veltliner, yielding a broad portfolio ranging from uncomplicated drinking wines to powerful site-specific wines. The soils and locations allow for a diverse range where nature takes the lead, while vineyard management and vinification are carried out sustainably. All wines bear the Sustainable Austria quality seal and are distributed internationally to various European countries as well as overseas.

The eno directory lists 22 wines, mostly from Grüner Veltliner and Zweigelt. The estate sells to horeca, retail and distributors. Export markets include Czechia, Belgium, Switzerland and Germany.
