About the estate
The Hornillos Ballesteros, S.L. estate was founded as a family-run winery in 2002 in Roa within the province of Burgos. Founders Miguel Hornillos and Javier Ballesteros both descend from families of vine growers and combined their knowledge and passion for wine in this project. The vineyards and facilities are located in the Ribera del Duero DO region. The most characteristic grape variety of the appellation is Tempranillo, locally known as Tinta del País. The winery produces its own wines from this privileged zone.
