Hofstädter

About the estate

The Hofstädter winery is located in Deutschkreutz in Central Burgenland, in the heart of the Blaufränkisch region on the southeastern slopes of the Oedenburg Mountains. Benefiting from a mild climate, eighty percent of the vineyards are dedicated to red wines such as Blaufränkisch, Zweigelt, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, while twenty percent are planted with white varieties. Through conscious yield reduction in the vineyards and an uncompromising focus on quality in the cellar, powerful, full-bodied red wines and fruity white wines are produced. The wines are brought to harmonious maturity both in a classic style and through maturation in oak barriques.
