About the estate
The Hofer organic winery is located in Auersthal in the southern Weinviertel and is managed by the family. The approximately 30 hectares of vineyards have been cultivated according to organic guidelines without chemical pesticides and fertilizers since the 1990s. Cellar master Hermann Hofer processes the grapes together with the family into wines designed to reflect the soil, climate, and vintage. The estate is among the pioneers of organic agriculture in the region and also operates a traditional wine tavern alongside its viticulture.
