About the estate
The Hacienda Solano, S.L. estate is located in La Aguilera in the southwest of the Burgos province within the Castilla y León region. The vineyards are situated in an area privileged by its altitude and geology north of the Duero river within the Ribera del Duero DO designation. The terroir is characterized by clear limestone soils at higher elevations as well as clay and sand soils mixed with siliceous pebbles in the lower areas. These distinct soil types are processed separately and subsequently blended to produce fine and expressive wines.
