About the estate

The Gutsausschank Kaspar Herke estate is run by Caroline and Lukas Herke in Oestrich-Winkel in the middle of the Rheingau region. The winery looks back on a long history combining several traditional family wine estates. Since taking over the operations in 2013, the range of originally five grape varieties has been gradually expanded to include varieties such as Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Cabernet Blanc. The local terroir shapes the character of the wines produced there. The estate received an award in the Burda FOCUS test for its Cabernet Blanc.
