About the estate
The Guigal estate was founded in 1946 by Etienne Guigal in Ampuis within the Côte-Rôtie appellation and is managed today by the third generation of the family. The winery farms vineyards in renowned appellations of the Rhône Valley such as Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, Hermitage, Saint-Joseph, and Crozes-Hermitage, as well as in the southern Rhône region in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. To ensure complete control over vinification and maturation, the estate established its own artisanal cooperage at the historical Château d’Ampuis in 2003. The viticultural practices and the production of the wines are rooted in a deep understanding of the terroirs and craftsmanship passed down through generations.
