About the estate

The Grupo Solar de Samaniego, S.L.U. estate was founded in 1972 in the heart of the Rioja Alavesa at the foot of the medieval village of Laguardia. The winery manages more than 80 hectares of estate-owned vineyards dating back to the 1970s, featuring clay-limestone soils. Tempranillo is the predominant grape variety, accompanied by smaller proportions of Graciano and Maturana Tinta. Vinification takes place in the winery's facilities, which have undergone extensive modernization over the decades. The estate applies a sustainable viticulture model based on environmental respect.
