About the estate

The Thomas Gritsch winery is located in Spitz in the Wachau region and looks back on a long history dating back to 1781. Winemaker Thomas Gritsch joined his parents' estate in the year 2000 and currently cultivates eight hectares of vineyards. The vines grow on mineral primary rock soils as well as loess soils in renowned sites such as Setzberg, Zornberg, Bruck, Spitzer Point, and Offenberg. The Pannonian microclimate provides optimal conditions for cultivation under the Wachau DAC designation of origin. The portfolio includes various regional wine styles, including Grüner Veltliner and Pinot Blanc.
