About the estate
The Garbara winery in Santo Stefano is managed by the Grotto family in the fifth generation and traces its history back to 1865. The vineyards are cultivated with grape varieties such as Glera, Pinot nero, Chardonnay, and Souvignier Gris to produce superior sparkling wines. In 2012, the estate became the first to produce the Cartizze Metodo Classico. The philosophy combines traditional farming knowledge with sustainable cultivation and experimental approaches in both the vineyard and the cellar. The wines reflect the character of the origin-typical soils of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore and Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze denominations.
The eno directory lists 7 wines, mostly from Glera and Pinot Noir. The estate sells to retail. Export markets include Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
