About the estate

The Familie Schmidt OTS estate, located in Hagenbrunn, looks back on a long history that began in 1953 when Johann Schmidt took over his parents' operations. Today, the family business is run across generations, having gradually expanded its agriculture and viticulture over the decades. Through the combination of modernity and tradition, alongside care and precision in both the vineyard and the cellar, the winery produces wines with a region-typical style. Cultivation is carried out through close-to-nature farming, where Philipp Schmidt personally tends to every single vine and processes the harvested grapes in the estate's cellar.
