About the estate
The history of the Familia Fernández Rivera estate began over 50 years ago in 1972, when Alejandro Fernández and Esperanza Rivera acquired a historic stone winepress and produced their first wines from family vineyards. Based in the Ribera del Duero DO region, the family-run enterprise currently cultivates two hundred hectares of vineyards with a primary focus on the Tempranillo grape variety. Now managed by the third generation, the winery combines traditional craftsmanship with new technologies in winemaking. Its wines are currently exported to more than seventy countries.
