The Esse winery is located in Vienna and is run as a family business by Erwin, Jan, Sonja and Valentina. The vineyards are situated on the Nußberg on soils consisting of sandstone, marl and claystone with limestone deposits, featuring a southern exposure. The estate cultivates vineyards planted with grape varieties including Welschriesling and Chardonnay. Harvesting is done by hand, followed by vinification in stainless steel tanks. In addition to winemaking, the property also features a small wine bar.
