About the estate

The family project El Mozo Wines - Bodegas Compañón Arrieta looks back on a history of more than 40 years in Lanciego within the Rioja Alavesa region. The estate cultivates nine hectares of estate-owned vineyards distributed across 18 small plots, some of which were planted more than 70 years ago. Vineyard management is based on traditional, sustainable, and organic viticulture, combined with winemaking that is kept as natural as possible. Due to the unique orography of Lanciego with its varying altitudes, soils, and orientations, the winery produces distinctive wines with a strong regional identity.
