About the estate
The Eckerl estate is run in the third generation by Johanna and Walter Eckerl at the foot of the Vienna Woods in Tulbing in the Wagram wine region. Vines are cultivated on an area of around 0.7 hectares in the vineyards known as the Rohern. The vines are tended with care and a high degree of manual labor, and the grape harvest in autumn is also done entirely by hand. The portfolio includes Grüner Veltliner, Gemischter Satz, Weißburgunder, Neuburger, and Zweigelt. In addition to winemaking, the family runs a traditional tavern serving homemade dishes.
