About the estate
The Domaine Pontbriant estate is located between Orange and Sérignan-du-Comtat and has been in the family since 1832. The property has been operated by the Merle family since 1996, with their children taking over in 2022. The vineyards currently cover fourteen hectares on clay-limestone soils and are cultivated using reasoned agriculture methods. Grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Viognier, and Sauvignon are grown for white wines, while Syrah, Caladoc, Merlot, Egiodola, and Marselan are used for red and rosé wines.
The eno directory lists 3 wines, mostly from Syrah and Caladoc.
