About the estate

The family-owned Domaine Mesté Bertrand estate is located in Castillon Lembeye in the French department of Pyrénées-Atlantiques. The vineyards are situated on south and south-west facing slopes with clay-limestone and stony soils within the Madiran and Pacherenc du Vic Bilh appellations. Cultivated grape varieties include Tannat and Cabernet Franc for red wines and Petit Manseng for white wines. The winery relies on environmentally conscious practices, including manual vineyard management, yield control through green harvesting, and selective hand-harvesting. Vinification is carried out separately by plot and grape variety, followed by aging in barrels.

The eno directory lists 3 wines, mostly from Tannat and Cabernet Franc. Export markets include Belgium.
