About the estate
Established in 1850 and located in the village of Saint-Satur, the Domaine Laporte estate covers 21 hectares of vineyards within the Sancerre appellation. Led successively by the Laporte family and since 1986 by the Bourgeois family, the estate has pioneered organic agriculture and holds certification since 2013. The vines, consisting of Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, thrive on soils dominated by silex, clay-limestone, and Kimmeridgian marl. A prominent feature of the property is the exclusive single-block monopoly known as Domaine du Rochoy. The winemaking approach relies on parcel-by-parcel vinification to produce authentic wines characterized by a distinct mineral tension.
