About the estate
The Domaine Lagarde estate is a family-run business founded in 1989 by Jean-François Lagarde with four hectares of vineyards, which has since expanded to 35 hectares. In 1995 his wife Chantal joined the operation, and in 2019 their daughter Lucile joined the family enterprise with the goal of vinifying, aging, and marketing their wines independently. Located in the small village of Rosey in the Côte Chalonnaise region of Burgundy, the winery farms vineyards on clay-limestone soils. The grape varieties cultivated include Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Aligoté, and Gamay. Production includes wines from appellations such as AOC Bourgogne, AOC Bourgogne Côte Chalonnaise, AOC Mercurey, and AOC Montagny 1er Cru.
