About the estate
The historic Domaine Joseph Mellot winery has its roots in Sancerre and looks back on a long tradition dating back to the late 17th century. Led by Catherine Corbeau-Mellot, the house produces wines across all eight appellations of the Central Loire region. The portfolio includes Domaine Pierre Duret with seventeen hectares of vineyards as well as Domaine Jean-Michel Sorbe. Cultivation takes place on diverse soils such as marl, flint, and sand as part of sustainable and eco-responsible agriculture. All vineyards hold the High Environmental Value certification, complemented by organically farmed plots.
