About the estate
The family-owned Domaine Jean-Max Roger is located in the wine-growing village of Bué in the heart of the Sancerre vineyards and cultivates 35 hectares of vineyards in the Sancerre and Menetou-Salon appellations. The portfolio includes wines from the AOC Sancerre, AOC Menetou-Salon, and AOC Pouilly-Fumé appellations, with a portion of the wines coming from additional trading activities. The vineyards are spread across around forty parcels featuring diverse soil types such as stony limestone, Kimmeridgian marl, and flint. The vineyards are managed according to the principles of sustainable agriculture with mechanical soil cultivation and targeted cover cropping. In the winery, whose oldest structures date back to the seventeenth century, the estate combines traditional methods with modern equipment.
