About the estate
The Domaine Guichoux estate is located in the Haut Layon in the heart of the Loire Valley, spanning across the three municipalities of St Georges sur Layon, Concourson sur Layon, and Nueil sur Layon. The vineyards are situated on former coal mines, and these carboniferous soils impart distinct characteristics to the wines. Grown on these unique terroirs, the vines produce mineral-driven wines with characteristic gunflint notes for the AOC Coteaux du Layon as well as subtly woody nuances for the AOC Anjou rouge.
