About the estate
The Domaine Folle Avoine estate cultivates a vineyard area of ten hectares in the Hérault department across the neighboring municipalities of Vendargues, Saint-Aunès and Castries. The soils of the vineyards feature siliceous rock pebbles, clay-limestone and grey marl depending on the location. Traditional grape varieties such as Carignan, Cinsault and Grenache as well as contemporary varieties like Cabernet-Sauvignon, Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Viognier thrive on these lands. The vines are managed in a traditional manner using organic amendments alongside mineral and plant-based treatments. The estate was founded by Jean-Claude Daumond.
